Overview

Files are a means to push data into the Payable platform. These are uploaded to aggregate transaction data into the platform. Then reconciliation can be run on this transaction data.

There are two main benefits of using files:

  1. When you are onboarding and want to test quickly with mocked data, as it can mimic your real lift bank account.
  2. When you have a bank that doesn't have APIs or any viable connectivity method available yet.

Upload any file, and it will be mapped to the Payable schema. We have deduplication built in, in case you add the same data twice.

📘

Files can be uploaded through the API or dashboard

This means no matter how technical your team are, anyone can add files.

Simply create the bank account in the dashboard when you want to add the file, by selecting Create new account instead of using an existing one.
